BioSince she was a small child, Misuzu has had a curse. When receiving the oracle on her birth the priests said so, though nobody has told her…but according to the reading, and later in life would show, if she falls in love and tells someone of her feelings, she will be cursed to die. Kannabi no Mikoto, the fabled Winged Girl, shared a similar fate, and some have mused that Misuzu is the reincarnation of the poor woman, though that is debated. When she was 4, her mother died, leaving her in her Aunt Haruko’s care. Misuzu loved her Aunt, and considered her the same as her real mother—in fact, when she was 14, she burned all the pictures of her real mother, and decided once and for all, that Haruko was going to be her real, honest-to-God Mother. When she was 15, Haruko died mysteriously, leaving Misuzu an orphan again. Some say that she died to cure her of her ‘curse’ as a sort of sacrifice…though Misuzu herself doesn’t know about it. The only thing she was told, when her Aunt died, was that she ‘grew wings and flew up to the sky’. Even though she knows that she’s dead, Misuzu still, in some part of her mind, thinks that her Aunt is really flying up there. Shortly after she turned 16, Misuzu needed to find a place to stay. Her father gave up on her shortly after taking her in…and soon Misuzu needed to find a part-time job or something to try to get her an apartment. On her search for an apartment, she met Alfons Heiderich, and the two of them decided to rent out a room together. Shortly after they rented out a room, Misuzu sought out the antisocial Shana, and the three of them now live together in this rather large apartment. Even though she’s only known her 2 roommates for a short time, Misuzu feels attached to both of them, like sisters. She wants to be the first to ride Alfons’s rocket to the moon, and wants to make Shana really smile. She also has a pet crow, “Sora”, who comes around sometimes to see her, and often sits on her shoulder and ‘talks’ to her. She decided to use this magitek book to make friends, but somehow Misuzu thinks it might be used for much more. Least favorite food: None that we know of. Favorite Sport: Do cards count? XD Least favorite sport: Track and Field. Favorite places to go: The ocean, the Town Square. Best Date Spot: The beach, definitely. Future Dream:She doesn’t know what she wants. She just wants to make friends and move on from her illness, which had almost killed her not very long before. | Personality: Cheerful and quite eager, Misuzu is a girl who is always friendly and kind to everyone. Even the more prickly people don’t deter Misuzu’s relentless spirit; in fact, she’s so straightforward and friendly that people will probably get annoyed with her at first. When she doesn’t know what to do or say, Misuzu says “Gao”, and when she laughs, she’ll say “Nihaha”. Some would consider her ‘eccentric’, and others would consider her downright annoying. It depends on the person, definitely. Though regardless, when Misuzu cares for a person, it’s for life (or for a very long time), and tends to get rather clingy with people…that is when she gets over her major roadblock. Because of this, for most of her life she’s pushed people away at the same time as trying to be close, which has made her scared of being rejected. Overall though, she’s a warm, innocent breath of fresh air—though some might want to punt her rather than say ‘hello’. Interesting facts: She has a ‘gao-gao’ suit that she wears at home to be silly, as well as a bunch of dinosaur stuffed animals that she has named, and gives them personalities. When she was little, she once thought chicks and chick pastries were baby dinosaurs. Also, when she tries to make friends…she cries really hard, to the point of going in hysterics, and she doesn’t understand why. Because of this, she’s been pushing people away most of the time, so that they won’t hate her or think she’s weird. But now that she’s lost everyone she’s been close to, she doesn’t want to do that anymore. Shana: Misuzu looks at Shana like a superhero; she’s strong and powerful, and always says what she thinks, but is still a good person who will do what she can for others. Misuzu wishes she had that sort of strength, and was strong like Shana…because in the end, she feels, if she was, then she’d be able to fight off her disease and then she wouldn’t have to make anyone worry anymore. She considers Shana a wise sister, and hopes that she’ll go out more and make friends. She also wishes that she would open up more to her, as well as to other people. Alphonse Elric: A young woman who is Misuzu’s first friend, her feelings for Alphonse are confusing. On one hand, she feels deep friendship and even a sort of dependence that she didn’t know she could possess for any one person…But on the other hand there are feelings for Al that Misuzu isn’t quite understanding yet. She’s voiced them as what they were, but when she had spoken the words, she had considered them something else…but her heart knows that they aren’t what her mind is telling her. As of now, she wishes she could see Alphonse in person. Edward Elric: Misuzu doesn’t know him well…she just…wishes that he would make friends with Alfons. And she wants to get to know him better. Suiseiseki: Suiseiseki is the young girl who had beaten her on the head with a watering can while in the town…Misuzu thinks she’s a sweet girl, but worries about her and hopes that she’s okay. She cares about her on a very protective level, even though Misuzu herself knows that she can’t really protect anyone. Souseiseki: She’s only spoken to Souseiseki through the book…but…she cares about her as much as she does Suiseiseki, and, like Suiseiseki, she hopes that she is healthy and all right. |
